Headie One’s debut album ‘Edna’ set to take the No. 1 Album spot this week on the Official UK Music Charts

Official Music Charts UK has confirmed that ‘Edna’, the debut album of rapper Headie One released last Friday, is currently in the running to make its UK charts entry at No. 1.

The record is a tribute to the artist’s late mother, Edna Adjei, the loss of whom he reflects on throughout the album, and how such affected him at a young age. ‘Edna’ follows Headie One’s mixtape ‘Gang’ released in April earlier this year in collaboration with Fred Again.

Headie One’s debut album boasts an impressive plethora of features, namely Aitch, AJ Tracey, Stormzy, Drake, Skepta, Future, Young T & Bugsey, Mahalia, M Huncho, Young Adz, Ivorian Doll, Haile and Kaash Paige.

‘Only You Freestyle’ featuring Drake peaked at No. 5 on the UK Official Single Charts.

‘Ain’t It Different’ featuring AJ Tracey & Stormzy climbed even higher to reach No. 3.

Young T & Bugsey jumped on the track for ‘Princess Cuts’, the visual for which was released last week.

Headie One’s most recent visual release saw him and Aitch dabble in some GCSE French for ‘Parlez-Vous Anglais’.
