Lil Tjay and 6LACK have come together to release ‘Calling My Phone’.
The song is a laid-back slow jam/break-up song, with both Lil Tjay and 6LACK giving us melodic verses from the heart.
The lyrics speak of how the artists are done playing games with their partners, and how it’s time to call quits on the relationship. Their partner isn’t willing to get the message however, and keeps calling their phone, causing Lil Tjay to admit that he can’t get his ex out of his mind.
The visuals show Lil Tjay with his partner in multiple forms; having a conversation, having an argument, and in love. Towards the middle to end of the track, he links up with 6LACK as he delivers his verse. The song ends with a voicemail, in line with the title of the song.
The Official UK Singles Charts have confirmed that the track is in the running this week to end Olivia Rodrigo’s five-week reign as UK number one with her track ‘drivers license‘.

Mad how both these songs are about relationships ending! Pretty gloomy start to 2021…
