Past enemies Bugzy & Chip team up to deliver ‘Notorious’

If you’d told us 5 years ago that Bugzy Malone and Chip would drop a track together, we’d tell you to go get your head checked. And yet, here we are.

Produced by Blinkie, ‘Notorious’ has already set the bar for the 2021 rap game ridiculously high. It’s truly incredible to see two past enemies come together and deliver in this way.

Though the two artists both come from grime, their styles are uniquely different. Somehow these styles seem to gel ridiculously well however, and the track contains an infectious energy that keeps listeners hooked from start to finish.

The two use the song’s visuals to pay homage to The Notorious B.I.G.’s videos. One scene shows them driving an old-school Mercedes Benz in reverse, which fans will recognise as being an obvious reference to Biggie’s ‘Hypnotize.’

Throughout the track, the two also make comparisons between their own past beef and the infamous feud between hip-hop legends 2Pac and The Notorious B.I.G.

The two artists famously sent multiple diss tracks against each other in the mid 2010s, in one of the best grime battles to date. This beef was confirmed to be quashed around 2017/18, however this is the first time we are seeing both artists on a track together.

‘Notorious’ is set to feature on Bugzy Malone’s future album The Resurrection, which is due out on Febuary 12th. He has already released tracks ‘Don’t Cry‘, ‘Doe’d Up‘ and ‘M.E.N. III‘ from the record.
