Wireless Festival have announced the line up for their upcoming event this September, and a lot of people aren’t happy.
Wireless 2021 is already looking a little different, taking place in September when usually it would be held in July, and changing location from Finsbury Park in North East London to Crystal Palace in South London.
After revealing their line up however, the festival has now been heavily criticised for only including 4 female acts across the 3 day festival.

The likes of Future, Skepta and Migos will appear at the event, but the only female acts performing will be Ivorian Doll, Tiffany Calver, Megan Thee Stallion and Darkoo.
Singer Mahalia led the mass criticism of the lack of female representation in the line up, with Harry Pinero, Annie Mac and Miraa May also expressing similar opinions.

Nah Wireless are violating with that line up, there are BARE ladies who have shelled this year and should be there.

Wireless line up is not surprising to me in terms of the promoter’s motivations. CASH! It’s surprising that they don’t seem to care remotely for their reputation – which is becoming worse and worse by the year. The opposite of progressive. Lazy. Uninspiring. Blinded by greed.

4 women. 🤔

these are just some of the female rap and r&b artists that i could think of that could have been added to the lineup plus there’s many more as well… @WirelessFest we’re tired of the misogyny pic.twitter.com/PR2clVGMVL

Others were just critical of the line up in itself, claiming it was out of touch with the current music scene.
Skepta headlining with A Boogie, Swae Lee and Swarmz?? Are we in 2016? 😭😭😭😭 Wireless are so outta touch
