The nation’s favourite Bristolian, Maya Jama, has released her highly anticipated face mask range.
MIJ Masks became available for the public to buy on the 6th December at 10 am. Thousands interacted with the post on the MIJMASKS Instagram page, with many expressing their excitement for the new products.
TV and Radio presenter, Maya, repeatedly showed herself wearing face masks in taxis, planes and on the train. She wasn’t shy in showing her love for a good sheet mask, no matter where she was. The 26-year-old even started a trend in people wearing face masks on their own travels.
The new face mask range consists of two different masks aiming to rejuvenate and hydrate. A Bio-Cellulose Face Mask, and a Hydrogel Eye Patch.

Bio-cellulose is rich in amino acids and is a carbon-positive fibre. The hydrogel eyepatches contain a number of hydrating ingredients and are designed to not slip, a common disadvantage of this type of product.
MIJ Masks is named after its creator’s initials; Maya Indea Jama. In a quote posted on the MIJ Masks website, the presenter said:
‘MIJ Masks are for every face and any moment. Whether I’m heading to a shoot, slouching on a plane or prepping for a night with my huns, you’ll find me treating my skin to some well-deserved TLC.’
The products are vegan and cruelty free, and range in price. They start at £13.99 and can be bought for as much as £27.99.
Jama states on her website that she lives ‘for a high-quality, high-performance face mask, so it’s amazing to be able to produce a range that has style and substance, for everyone out there.’
After the venture being announced in July, products can now be bought exclusively at mijmasks.com. Be sure to let us know your thoughts @pieradiouk if you purchase them!
