Odd Future’s Tyler, the Creator has released his latest LP ‘Call Me If You Get Lost’

Tyler the Creator has continued his undeniable hot streak with his brand new album ‘Call Me If You Get Lost’, two years after his GRAMMY winning effort ‘IGOR’ released in 2019.

Much like IGOR… this album could probably be made into a movie if you handed it to some talented directors, or even left it to Tyler himself!

Although the album isn’t as abstract as IGOR, with the pitched up vocals and unearthly melodies, as well as elements of CMIYGL taking a more traditional hip-hop narrative, Tyler still displays why he is arguably the king of Alternative Hip-Hop in this generation. It is still clear that there is hidden, implicit messages laced throughout the album, and Tyler comes through with his signature witty bars that you can’t help but either feel impacted by, or sometimes even chuckle at.

As well as the sudden announcement of the album, something else that shocked the world were some of the features, such as NBA YoungBoy and 42 Dugg. However, fans were pleasantly surprised as both artists deliver on their respective features, and on a personal note, I would say that both of them step up to new levels for their verses. Not to mention some of the other features who are especially great, such as Pharrell Williams returning to his ‘In My Mind’ roots and delivering a well crafted verse alongside Tyler and Lil Uzi Vert on the song JUGGERNAUT as well as Brent Faiyaz returning off his song ‘Gravity’ with Tyler to bring the lengthy cut SWEET/I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO DANCE. As well as the great Lil Wayne and Odd Future friend Domo Genesis also making guest appearances.

Finally, one all too familiar hearing was DJ Drama delivering his charismatic adlibs across the album, helping to keep the audience entertained for the 52 minutes run time, and it honestly flies by, so step into another world that Tyler has created ( no pun intended ) , let him talk to you with his unmistakable voice, delivery and lyricism, and enjoy the album…
