Navy’s new track ‘One Shot’ is a groovy and reggae rich early summer anthem!

The High Priestess of Caribbean HipHop Soul has skilfully and successfully blended her unique musical style within ‘One Shot’.

The new single is seasoned with the artist’s flavour of Island pop, with infusions of reggae and smooth soul. Navy’s rhythmic verses and beat riding melodies serve as a testament to her unique and fresh musical presence.

The track heavily samples the 70s soul classic by Deniece Williams, ‘Free‘.

Directed by Trevor Pretty, the accompanying visuals consist of Navy performing her upbeat hit in warm Caribbean garden locations, dressed in vibrant prints.

Navy remains a crucial member of the Caribbean music community. She has stated: “I don’t want to sound American, I don’t want to sound British, although I can, but being yourself is going to take you where you need to go.”

The Dominican singer-songwriter previously had an unfortunate e counter with a European label, but has bounced back even stronger from the experience with the release of ‘One Shot‘, where she is unapologetically herself.

The High Priestess herself has returned with her unparalleled musicality and we can’t wait to see what her next move will be!
