LadBaby are on the way to get Xmas No.1 for the 3rd year running.

Currently, Don’t Stop Me Eatin’ by LadBaby is Number 1 on the trending chart. This puts them back in the race to score a hat trick with what could be their 3rd Christmas Number 1. The only other acts to have achieved this feat in history are The Beatles and The Spice Girls.

Social media influencer Mark Ian Hoyle, and his wife, have teamed up in the past with their food-related covers. Their 1st Christmas No.1 We Built This City… On Sausage Rolls, released in 2018, and was a cover of the 80s hit by Starship. Their 2nd Christmas No.1, I Love Sausage Rolls, was a cover of the well-known classic I Love Rock and Roll.

Their newest entry is a cover of yet another karaoke classic; Don’t Stop Believing by Journey. All of the proceeds from all of LadBaby’s Christmas hits go to The Trussell Trust, a charity that aims to end the use of food banks across the U.K.

Meanwhile, former TOWIE star Gemma Collins, and her former Celebrity Big Brother housemate Darren Day (aka. “I’M CLAUSTROPHOBIC DARREN”) have recorded a cover of winter warmer Baby It’s Cold Outside. Which has been covered since the 1940s by all artists, from the Welsh dragons Tom Jones and Cerys Matthews, to current-day, American pop sensations John Legend and Kelly Clarkson, it is now time for the Essex icons to give the song a whirl.

The wildcard (yes, despite the other two songs mentioned) in this years’ race comes from parody punk-band The Kunts (excuse the rude pun, it is intended) and their song Boris Johnson is an F**king C**t, is gaining in popularity and on the way to the top of the Christmas charts. The comedy musician and former council worker, formerly known as Kunt and the Gang, is currently charting at No.8 in the Top 20.

We will find out in 3 days time whether it’ll be a hat trick for LadBaby and Don’t Stop Me Eatin’? Or will Gemma Collins and Darren Day take the crown with their rendition of Baby It’s Cold Outside? Maybe even The Kunts with their controversial punk hit could win the Christmas Number One race?

There are numerous other contenders in the running also, including Jess Glynne, Liam Gallagher, Nathan Dawe & Little Mix, Justin Bieber & the NHS Choir, Mariah Carey, Wham!, Celeste, Sam Fender, Matt Lucas, Becky Hill, Rigaid and Robbie Williams. The winner will ultimately be announced on Christmas Day (this Friday).
