Rema is a young Nigerian artist. At just 20 years of age, he rose to fame with the release of his track Dumebi which has accumulated 37 millions views on YouTube. Some of his other tracks Woman, Iron Man, Ginger Me and Lady, which have also surpassed the million views mark.

UK Grime scene legend Skepta also recently made the sad announcement via his Instagram that he will not be making any more music…that’s right, he’s retiring.

Skepta instagram post retiring

Skepta showcases his legendary, unmatched flow on Dimension, rapping  about the way he was raised – ‘I was taught to listen to my elders’. Skepta also talks about opening his third eye, signifying he feels more enlightened – ‘opened up my third eye I’m feeling so selfless’.

The cinematic visuals, directed by Ebeneza Blanche, wholly pay homage to African culture. Skepta and Rema are of Nigerian heritage and Jae 5 is of Ghanaian heritage and lived in Ghana for three years when he was younger.

Throughout the vibrant visuals, we can see a mixture of traditional and futuristic African culture, with tribal elders seated with Skepta and with Rema wearing traditional tribal wear.

Towards the end of the visuals, it becomes more futuristic, with actors dressed in bright coloured suits and flashing grills surrounded by lit up vehicles.

Take in the visuals to Dimension and let us know what you think of the track @pieradiouk.
