Hip hop legend Biz Markie has passed away peacefully on 16th July 2021.
Marcel Hall (better known as Biz Markie), started his career in 1985 as a beat boxer with the rap collective Juice Crew.
Markie went solo and released several classic albums. He even started as an alien in Men In Black 2. He was a man of many talents.
Biz Markie was admitted to hospital last year amid complications with type 2 diabetes and reportedly suffered a stroke. His fellow rappers such as LL Cool J and Fat Joe, have come out to pay their respects to this late, underrated hip hop beatboxing icon.
