It’s been one week since our last round-up and we’re back with more new releases from across Africa. These are the most notable new music that deserves a spot on your playlist. 

TWE TWE/TOO BUSY TO BE BAE – Kizz Daniel 

Kizz Daniel returns with a bang with two new singles that feature enchanting melodies and infectious beats.

MAMAPIANO (EP) – Yemi Alade

Closing off a busy year marked with various singles and collaborations, Yemi Alade enthrals fans with a surprise EP titled “Mamapiano.” The four-track EP features a collaboration with Ajebo Hustlers and is a testament to Alade’s talent and unmatched hard work.

DIARY OF A LOVER BOY (ALBUM) – Nonzo

Through this remarkable album, Nonzo narrates a tale of ambitious aspirations and a love affair gone awry. He effortlessly blends sounds from the highlife, afrobeats, R&B, and dancehall genres.

ONLY FINE GIRL (REMIX) – Spyro Feat. Simi

Simi’s addition to this remix elevates an already impressive song by creating a harmonious blend of their unique styles and vocal abilities.

EGWU – Chike x Mohbad

Nigerian singer Chike returns with his first single since July and it features the late singer, Mohbad. The song is a blend of diverse styles and the artistic synergy of both artists.

SAKARA – Zinoleesky

Following the recent tragic events that unfolded in the Nigerian music industry over the past few months, Zinoleesky returns from his much-needed hiatus with a new single titled “Sakara.” On this track, Zinoleesky takes a swipe at his “haters” and asserts that his art is characterized by genuine musicality, devoid of mere noise. 

DANGER ZEE (EP) – Zerrydl

Having burst onto the scene through a collaboration with his brother and label boss Shallipopi on “Puff & Pass,” Zerrydl followed up with his solo project, showcasing his artistry and style. With this debut EP, Zerrydl is set to captivate audiences and establish himself as a promising talent.

NA NKO – Hiro x Joeboy x DJ Neptune

Congolese-French artist, Hiro teams up with Nigerian superstars Joeboy and DJ Neptune for this new record. Through their combined efforts, listeners can experience an extra layer of richness and depth to the track.

DEADLY – Stefflon Don x Victony

British rapper Stefflon Don rounds off the year with a sizzling hot track featuring Nigerian breakout star, Victony. On this sultry Afro-R&B love song, Stefflon Don’s dynamic patois-infused flow blends with Victony’s scintillating vocals to create an enchanting love song. 

CLASS OF ’23 – Ejoya

For the fourth year running, Ejoya brings together the brightest prospects in African music for a project and this one is titled, “Class of ’23.” The album features new-wave artists such as Kold AF, Ria Sean, TAR1Q, Söulaar, Black Culture, Zamorra, RAGEE, Logos Olori and more.

LET’S START A RIOT (EP) – La Même Gang

Ghanaian music collective, La Même Gang, have made a return to the music scene, ending their over one-year hiatus with a powerful statement in the form of a new four-track EP titled “Let’s Start A Riot.” The EP is an afro-fusion and trap mashup that features collaborations with Joey B, DarkoVibes and others.

O.N. E (ALBUM) – Josh Blakk

Ghanaian artist Josh Blakk’s new album is inspired by a profound conversation on the effort in love and the intricate connections in life. With a blend of Highlife, Soul, Afrobeats, and his signature guitar melodies, Blakk weaves through themes of love, peace, hope, and fulfilment.

CLEAR ROAD – Azanti & PsychoYP

Nigerian music sensation, Azanti, is back with a vengeance, dropping a scorching new single titled “Clear Road” that features the equally electrifying rapper, PsychoYP. This isn’t just another track; it’s a sonic bomb ready to explode in your speakers and ignite your soul.

SHE DEY GIVE DEM – Dremo

Nigerian rapper, Dremo shows off his brazen nature on this track. Through the explicit lyrics set against infectious beats crafted by The Beat Murderer, Dremo paints a vivid picture of the woman in question.

KUPE – Babyboy AV

The Kulboy-produced track is an explosion of energy, pulsating with infectious beats and Babyboy AV’s smooth vocals. Through a blend of English and Pidgin, the lyrics exude such confidence that is hard to resist.
