Detectives are investigating a woman being raped on 26th March in Withington.

Manchester Police received a report from a woman in her early 20s on the 26th March. She reported that she was raped in the early hours that day.

Police have appealed for any information regarding a vehicle, that was seen leaving Marriott Street onto Wilmslow Road in Withington.

It has been indicated in the appeal that the woman was raped, whilst in the car, before it drove off.

Police have stressed they believe this is an isolated incident, but have put extra safety measures in place in Fallowfield and Withington.
