ArrDee dropped his debut mixtape ‘Pier Pressure’ on Island Records last Friday (18th March). Stream his new project, made of fourteen tracks, on Spotify here.

The nineteen-year-old Brighton native has achieved an impressively fast rise in the British rap scene. He secured international attention due to his feature last year on ‘Body’. North London rapper Tion Wayne and South London rapper Russ Millions included ArrDee in the remix of their track. Check out the music video which currently has ninety-two million views, which is unsurprising as the track could be heard everywhere when it was released.

‘Pier Pressure’ includes just two features; twenty-one-year-old South Londoner Lola Young brings vocals on ‘Who Woulda Thought.’ Lyrically, ArrDee explores how the trajectory of his life has been transformed by his success. He describes himself as ‘A broke arse kid from Brighton with a big dream’ but who ‘still believed’ because he ‘was writin’ bars, workin’ in a warehouse.’ Take a listen here.

Aitch also features on ‘War’, the music video for which dropped last month and was filmed on a beach in Brighton. This collaboration between the two young British rappers was highly anticipated. The track has become a hit for both, proving that they are comfortable working together in their own ways despite comparisons levelled against the two. Watch the music video below which has already gained five million views.

ArrDee will play a sold out show at Manchester Academy next Monday (28th March).
