Former US President, Barack Obama, has uploaded to Twitter a list of his favourite movies and music of 2020. Who made the cut?
Obama’s favourite music list featured artists, Little Simz, Beyonce, Megan Thee Stallion, Travis Scott, Wizkid and many more. From the list, it’s clear Obama loves Rap, as well as a bit of Afrobeats.
In a tweet he said, “Here are some of my favorite songs of the year. As usual, I had some valuable consultation from our family music guru, Sasha, to put this together. I hope you find a new song or two to listen to”.

Obama also added to Twitter a list of his favourite episodes and movies of 2020. This includes Steve McQueen’s Small Axe episode ‘Lovers Rock’ starring Michael Ward. Michael Ward then shared Obama’s post to Instagram with the caption “this is a mad feeling I can’t lie ????”.
Like everyone else, we were stuck inside a lot this year, and with streaming further blurring the lines between theatrical movies and television features, I’ve expanded the list to include visual storytelling that I’ve enjoyed this year, regardless of format. pic.twitter.com/a8BS8jDkSs
