Last heard representing Manchester in single “Year Of The Real” – that saw him team up with some of the UK’s most promising MC’s, earlier this year – Meeks makes is return supplying his first solo offering, entitled: “Sweeping Up”
In true ‘Meekz’ style, the rapper inflicts his gruff tone comprised of no nonsense stanzas. Sharing his home pride and realness, as he spits “I don’t care about no clout run it up and put dough down, real rap getting love from my home town.”
Known for his street cred, the rappers gritty northern spirit can truly felt through the contrastive skippy piano playing in the foreground.
Additionally, Meekz brings us visuals for the single; commencing with scenes of the masked MC rapper sporting an orange jumpsuit – no doubt a nod to the extracurricular activities he speaks on throughout the track – while he sweeps up the “dough”.
