Pie Radio Masterclass: Radio Production with Dari Samuels [@darisamuels] Editor at BBC Radio 1Xtra. Dari is an experienced, versatile multimedia producer, editor, and creative leader with a track record spanning over 10 years. Dari has expert knowledge of hip-hop, r&b music and urban lifestyles. He worked on 1Xtra’s flagship Breakfast Show and MistaJam show which brought in record audience figures. Dari also worked on Radio 1 Life Hacks Podcast, presented by Katie Thistleton and Dr Radha, and tackling challenging and sensitive topics, including eating disorders, depression, identity and sexual health.
This masterclass provides an insight into what radio production is, the importance of a radio producer, what a day in the life of a radio producer looks like, how to get into this role and ways of making money/building a career. Hosted by Tanaka, funded by Arts Council England
