Haitian DJ Michael Brun has collaborated with Djiboutian singer Shay Lia on their new song ‘Baby Who’.
Michael Brun first rose to stardom with his J Balvin collaboration Positivo, the theme tune for Telemundo’s 2018 FIFA World Cup coverage.
Meanwhile, Shay Lia first came to the attention of another Haitian-born DJ, KAYTRANADA in 2013. Her sweet vocals fitted perfectly with his characteristic house beats. I can also say that Shay Lia is a fab live performer too, having seen her in Bristol.
In this collaboration, Michael Brun brings his Electro-Haitian hybrid of beats, teamed with Shay Lia’s ethereal lyrics. This song is a simple but versatile dance track that introduces listeners to sounds they may not have come across before. Like both artists, this track deserves more attention.
