Pa Salieu has provided us with another banger. This time he has teamed up with Slowthai for fire new track Glidin’ accompanied by wacky, in your face visuals.
Pa Salieu has rocketed to fame since the release of ‘Frontline’ a year ago. Since then, the 23-year-old has stayed consistent with his talent and produced his first ground breaking album ‘Send Them To Coventry’. The album features other big names here in the UK such as M1llionz, BackRoad Gee and Mahalia.
Slowthai, similarly to Pa Salieu, became a more well-known artist as of recent. The Northampton native has collaborated with established artists Skepta, ASAP Rocky and Mura Masa plus many more.
Slowthai did not disappoint with this well needed collaboration, delivering his usual witty bars. He kicks off his part in Glidin’ saying “Can’t be arsed // Don’t get stressed “. His bars complimented that of Pa Salieu’s multifaceted style, which has paved the way for alternative militarian style rap.
KC Locke directed the trippy visuals for Glidin’, which seem to take inspiration from funky music videos back in the 90s that featured legends Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliot and P Diddy.
In the visuals, both artists play up to the camera looking crazy in stray jackets in a padded cell, as well as sitting down for a very unconventional tea party.
Take in the eccentric visuals for Glidin’ and let us know what you think of this pairing @pieradiouk.
